Our Arsenal summer business part 2 article picks up with Arsenal agreeing personal terms with Jurrien Timber of Ajax, moving forward with the Kai Havertz transfer, and Kieran Tierney’s potential departure cooling down. Let’s discuss all of this.

Arsenal Summer Business Part 2: Arsenal Have Reportedly Agreed Personal Terms with Jurrien Timber

It is no surprise that Arsenal are looking to add another right-footed defender, especially considering how badly Saliba’s injury damaged the team in the 2022-23 season. Jurrien Timber is a right-footed center-back who currently plays for Ajax in the Eredivisie. According to several reputable sources, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Jurrien Timber.

The contract will reportedly run until 2028. Timber will earn 130,000 pounds a week at Arsenal for the duration of this contract. Ajax and Arsenal have been in negotiations over Jurrien Timber for some days now. Hopefully, Arsenal can agree a fee with Ajax soon and complete this deal. Timber is a promising defender and has plenty of room to grow, having only recently turned 22 years old.

Kai Havertz Has Completed the First Part of His Arsenal Medical

Kai Havertz to Arsenal was surprising to many people, but the transfer has progressed quickly. The Gunners clearly see Havertz as a pivotal signing ahead of the 2023-24 season. According to Fabrizio Romano, Kai Havertz has already completed the first part of his Arsenal medical.

All that is left is for the contract to be signed on the club’s side and the official announcement. Havertz would add another dimension to Arsenal’s attack and more attacking depth is definitely worthwhile. It will be interesting to see Havertz play for Arsenal next season. Ideally, the transfer will officially be completed soon and Arsenal can move onto other summer business.

Arsenal Summer Business Part 2: Kieran Tierney’s Departure May Not Happen

In the early days of this summer transfer window, it seemed that Kieran Tierney would definitely leave Arsenal. Tierney was reportedly unhappy with not starting for the Gunners much last season. Newcastle United seemed to be very interested in signing Tierney.

However, that potential transfer has cooled off since then. It is still possible that Tierney could leave Arsenal. Despite that, the Gunners should try to retain Kieran Tierney. Tierney could play an important role for Arsenal next season.

Arsenal Will Likely Complete At Least One Signing Soon

It seems likely that the Gunners will complete at least one signing soon. Based on the available information, Arsenal’s first signing of the summer will likely be Kai Havertz. The Gunners will hopefully agree on transfers for Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber soon, as well.

I would bet that both Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber will become Arsenal players. Timber is reportedly very keen on a move to Arsenal.
