Bam Adebayo won his second gold medal with the Team USA basketball team as the Americans defeated Team France 98-87 in the gold medal game. Adebayo played only nine minutes in that game, but played well in earlier games, as we covered in a previous article. However, he was critical to Team USA’s success at the Olympics. Heat 2024 Offseason Part 12: Bam Adebayo Wins Another Olympic Gold Medal
Bam Adebayo is now a two-time Olympic gold medalist following Team USA’s win over Team France in the gold medal game at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Adebayo played in Team USA’s gold medal-winning game three years ago in the Tokyo Olympics. As a result, Adebayo is now in distinguished company as one of only a few current or former Miami Heat players to have won two gold medals.
Gary Payton and LeBron James are the only other two players in this category. James won his first Olympic gold medal in 2012 when he was a member of the Miami Heat and his Heat jersey was extremely popular. Thankfully, Bam Adebayo did not suffer any injuries at the Olympics and will return to the Heat in full health. It is likely that Adebayo will have another great season with the Heat if he remains healthy.
The NBA Released the Heat’s 2024-25 Season Schedule
It is also important to mention that the Heat’s 2024-25 season schedule is now out. The Heat start the season at home against their Florida rivals the Orlando Magic. The Heat have a fairly easy first five games.
However, the season gets tougher in November. It is likely that the ceiling of this Heat team will be apparent by Thanksgiving. We will see what happens with that. Given that fact, it is essential that the Heat play well in their first five games prior to a challenging November schedule.
The Heat’s Season Starts in Two Months
The Heat are about two months away from the start of their 2024-25 season. Hopefully, the Heat start off well with a win against the Orlando Magic. We will see what happens.
