Arsenal transfer business discussion has continued along with the actual transfer business itself. The summer transfer window has been open for nearly three weeks at this point. We’ve got some important incoming transfers to discuss as well as plenty of transfer rumors. Let’s get into week 5 of the rumors and news about Arsenal’s transfer business.
Arsenal Transfer Business Discussion: Outgoing Arsenal Players
Hector Bellerin
One Arsenal player who is quite likely to leave the club this summer is Hector Bellerin. Bellerin spent last season on loan with Real Betis and even won the Copa del Rey with them during that season. However, due to Real Betis’ financial problems, they may not be able to afford to sign Bellerin permanently.
Roma and Atletico Madrid have shown interest in Bellerin, as well. Whatever the case, Bellerin’s exit from Arsenal seems quite likely. A fee of 20-25 million pounds would probably be enough to sign Bellerin permanently.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles
Ainsley Maitland-Niles will also probably leave Arsenal this summer. Maitland-Niles joined Roma on loan last season. However, he only made 12 appearances for Roma last season. With Arsenal already having added Fabio Vieira and showing interest in Youri Tielemans, Ainsley Maitland-Niles seems unlikely to have a future at Arsenal.
Nottingham Forest are apparently interested in signing Ainsley Maitland-Niles permanently. Nottingham Forest will look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season. Forest could likely sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles permanently for between 10-15 million pounds.
Arsenal Transfer Business Discussion: Pablo Mari
Pablo Mari is another player who will most likely depart Arsenal this summer. Arsenal loaned Pablo Mari out to Udinese in Serie A last season. Mari made 15 appearances for Udinese last season. Udinese initially seemed likely to sign Pablo Mari permanently as he played well there on loan last season. That does not seem to be the case anymore, though.
However, another Serie A club, Hellas Verona, are reportedly interested in Pablo Mari. Mari’s exit seems like it’s only a matter of time. Hellas Verona could probably sign Mari for roughly 5-10 million pounds.
Incoming Players
Arsenal Transfer Business Discussion: Gabriel Jesus
Arsenal have pursued Gabriel Jesus for a while and it seems that the deal is now completed. According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal and Manchester City have agreed to a deal for Jesus. Jesus will join Arsenal on a five-year contract for a guaranteed 45 million pounds with a further 10 million pounds in potential future add-ons. Jesus will improve Arsenal’s attack.
Matt Turner
Matt Turner has also joined Arsenal on a long-term contract for 8 million pounds. Arsenal have officially announced the signing of Turner. Turner joins Arsenal from New England Revolution in the MLS. Turner should do well as Arsenal’s backup keeper.
Raphina
Raphina is another top Arsenal target. He played well for Leeds United last season as they survived a relegation battle. Arsenal submitted a 50 million pound bid for Raphina, but Leeds rejected that. Arsenal has reportedly submitted a third bid of 62.5 million pounds. This seems like too much for Raphina. However, Arsenal clearly want Raphina to join quite a bit.
Arsenal Completed Two More Signings
Arsenal have now completed two further signings after signing Fabio Vieira. It is good to see Arsenal get their transfer business done early. These signings might even convince you to bet on Arsenal finishing in the top 4 next season. Of course, there will be plenty more transfer business and rumors to discuss next week. Check back in next week for the latest on Arsenal transfer rumors and business.
