Arsenal is already doing business in the summer transfer window. This is important after a terrible January transfer window, which we covered earlier this year. Without further ado, let’s dive into the Arsenal summer transfer business.

Arsenal Summer Transfer Business: Myles Lewis-Skelly Agrees New Contract

Rising star Myles Lewis-Skelly has agreed to a new contract with Arsenal. Lewis-Skelly was one of Arsenal’s most consistent performers last season and his previous contract runs out next summer. This is vital amidst interest in him from Real Madrid. Hopefully, MLS will sign this new contract soon.

Arsenal Summer Transfer Business: Martin Zubimendi Will Join Arsenal

The Zubimendi deal is done. Martin Zubimendi will join Arsenal for slightly over 60 million euros. The Spanish midfielder was integral for Real Sociedad last season and was part of the Spanish national team that won Euro 2024. Signing him will help improve Arsenal’s midfield, especially in light of Thomas Partey’s potential exit. This is a necessary transfer, even though many focus on Arsenal’s need for a new striker.

Thomas Partey’s Future Is Undecided

It is unclear whether or not Thomas Partey will remain with Arsenal or leave as a free agent. The Gunners have discussed a contract extension with Partey for a while. However, reports indicate that those negotiations are at a standstill. It is important for Arsenal to clarify this situation so they can move forward. If Partey leaves, Arsenal should sign another midfielder to replace him.

Arsenal Remain in Negotiations for Sesko and Gyokeres

The Gunners continue to negotiate with RB Leipzig about Benjamin Sesko and with Sporting Club de Portugal about Viktor Gyokeres, respectively. Both players have their strengths and weaknesses. However, price may be the deciding factor for Arsenal.

Reports indicate that Gyokeres could cost between 70-80 million euros while Sesko could cost 80-100 million euros. If these reports are accurate, signing Gyokeres makes more sense. We will see how this situation develops.

Arsenal Should Sign a New Midfielder and a Striker Soon

Now that the transfer window has reopened, Arsenal should move quickly to sign a striker soon. Additionally, if Partey leaves, the Gunners should sign a new midfielder to replace him. We will provide information about any updates in future articles.
