Arsenal 2024 Summer Part 4.

Viktor Gyokeres is an appealing striker transfer target for Arsenal, as well as other clubs. Gyokeres won the Primeira Liga title and was named as part of the Primeira Liga Team of the Year in the 2023-24 Primeira Liga season.

Additionally, Gyokeres finished as the Primeira Liga’s top scorer last season with 29 goals in 33 appearances. We recently discussed Gyokeres’ player profile a few months ago. There are now rumors that Arsenal wants to sign Gyokeres for about 90 million pounds. Arsenal also wants to sign Joshua Kimmich, who seems set to leave Bayern Munich this summer.

Without further ado, let’s dive deeper into those rumors.

Arsenal 2024 Summer Part 4: Are These Rumors Trustworthy?

A number of sources claim that the Gunners are working on securing a transfer for Viktor Gyokeres. However, none of the most respected journalists that cover Arsenal regularly have supported or reported on these rumors. As such, it is fair to recommend to approach these rumors with some skepticism.

Would Gyokeres Fit at Arsenal?

Based on our research, it is fair to expect that Gyokeres would fit at Arsenal. The team’s style of play and current midfield players suits him. However, Gyokeres has never played in the Premier League before, despite playing in the EFL Cup and FA Cup for Brighton. He might take a little time to adjust to the Premier League.

Arsenal 2024 Summer Part 4: Is 90 Million Pounds a Fair Price for Gyokeres?

Viktor Gyokeres’ release clause in his Sporting contract is 100 million pounds. Given his age, skillset, and potential to improve even further, anything below 100 million pounds is still relatively fair for him.

There are other strikers that do have Premier League experience on Arsenal’s radar, though, such as Dominic Solanke and Ivan Toney. Those players might cost less, as well. We will see what happens, but Viktor Gyokeres is certainly an interesting transfer target for the Gunners.

Joshua Kimmich Appears Likely to Leave Bayern Munich and Arsenal Is Interested in Him

It is fairly unsurprising that Joshua Kimmich wants to leave Bayern Munich. Despite enjoying immense success with Bayern, Kimmich has been unhappy with the club for various reasons for some time. Kimmich is a versatile, world-class player who is still only 29 years old. That is why he is one of the more popular players on the German national team.

Additionally, Kimmich is entering the final year of his Bayern Munich contract, meaning the club can’t hold out for a ridiculous fee to deter other clubs from trying to sign Kimmich. Arsenal signing Kimmich would be outstanding business, but naturally, several other big clubs want to sign Kimmich. We will see if anything develops on this front.

New Transfer Rumors Will Emerge as the Euros Progress

There will be new transfer rumors as the 2024 European Championship progresses and more teams are eliminated. At the moment, the national team of most interest to Arsenal seems to be the German national team. Kai Havertz is part of the German national team, of course, and his international teammate Joshua Kimmich is a player Arsenal wants to sign.

Germany’s exit in the 2024 European Championship or the end of the tournament will likely result in more transfer rumors about Arsenal’s interest in Joshua Kimmich. In any case, we will have more Arsenal content up soon. Check back next week for more Arsenal content.
